can't find leak proof fork seals
I am replacing the fork seals on my 79 Gs1000E and want to use good fork seals. I used "leak proof" brand on my 80 1100E and thought I bought them at bikebandit.com

81 pounds to ship
Your right they got them for 19 pounds but shipping is 81 pounds. That is $200 for the fork seals. let me know if your flying over here any time soon I'll meet you at the airport and pick them up from ya. Thanks for the try though.

General advice around here is to stick with the factory part - they're still available from the dealer (or Bike Bandit - http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmot...n-1979/o/m5983) for $12 or so each. It's P/N 51153-49000 which has been superseded a few times, the current P/N is 51153-08C20. If you've got aftermarket ones in there now you may need the big washers too, but they're only a few bucks more.

I don't think there is anything special about "leak proff" seals, just get the factory ones or something off ebay. Link below has them for $14 shipped http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzuk...3756.m20.l1116Ed

The supposed "leak proof" fork seals are not all that good think about it they are exactly the same size as any other seals for that bike so cant be any more leak proof than any other set :?
Heres a tip though i always use PJ1 fork tuner fork oil in my bikes for a couple of reasons #1 you can get the correct weight oil not just light medium or heavy weight #2 it contains a lot of the chemical that swells the seal & makes them seal better when compared to other oils :-D
Cheap seals are sub £10 over here so dont know where the prices listed above came from
