I just got a couple cans at Advance Auto. Ran around $6each but it lasts awhile a couple oz at a time.

Chef1366, did you ever spend any time at the islands (PutnBay, Cawtawba)? Geauga Lake (after several owners and name changes) finally closed down this past fall. Cedar Point does not have any local competition now.

That's sad. I spent an all night prom there that's burnt into my memory either until I lose my mind or die.

Sea foam is good stuff. Use it regularly.

They just were bought last year or the year before by Cedar Fair Amusment who obviously owns Cedar point, but you are partially right, they were a Six Flags for a bit But more recently were owned by Paramount studios.

It sounds like a marvellous product, only problem is that I am in the UK. I cannot find any mention of Seafoam in this country.
Does anyone know if there is an equivalent product available over here?

Good morning waltfen, My friendly neighborhood AutoZone lady also mentioned a product called Lucas fuel treatment. This link should get you there.

I went with the Sea Foam because of the positives from everyone on this site. I don't know if Lucas is available to you but they had a place on their site to buy on line. Good luck. If I hear of anything else, I'll pass it on.

It's funny how this thread has jumped from Sea Foam (for the ride) to amusement parks (with rides). We go the the islands at least three or four times a summer but we also end up on Catawba Island the other three seasons. We love it there.

Thanks for that info. I've just checked and the Lucas Fuel Treatment is available in the UK.

One of two products for cleaning out carbs and removing intake valve deposits that I have heard actually work. It has a sterling reputation with most anyone who has used it.

BTW, the other product is Chevron Techron fuel treatment. A trusted aquaintance used it with excellent results as well.

Mark , here in Mercedes land where I work, we used Techron religiously for about 20 years. Around 2001, MB decided to suspende the use of techron and start using an "intake and combustion chamber cleaner". In our own roadisde service vehicles, Techrone even allowed us to use 87 octane in them, without excessive knock or ping.

Both seafoam and techron work well. I just picked up an little used 2002 KLR 650 (3600 miles). Had some older gas in the tank, so I poured in a can of seafoam, and topped off the tank with fresh fuel, and it has really started to smooth out. Plan to treat again, as well. First full tank of fresh fuel after I ran the majority of the initial tank out was just over 54 mpg!! Wahoo!!

Dan-O: Howdy and Love you too. Doing good, feeling good.
