Need to rebuild Clutch + new clutch cable
The clutch slips easily and it also is bad the other direction if i mess with the adjustment. This all started once i put in a new stator and regulator... I think the new oil brought out the ugly. Anyone have advice on where to buy a clutch cable, i know that is a simple question but I have had no luck. Also what to do about the slipping clutch. Thanks.

Go to one of the OE sources for parts, Bike Bandit, Flat Out, Motogrid, etc. and order your parts. Since your handlebars are lower than stock, I'd order a clutch cable from an E model.
Before ordering clutch parts I'd pull the clutch cover off and inspect the clutch that's in there already. Measure the thickness of the clutch plates and if they are in spec, just get new springs. Of course, don't forget to order a new gasket for the cover. Oh, and if you don't have one already, you might need to pick up an impact driver to get the clutch cover screws out.

Just replace the clutch springs with new OEM springs. Pretty standard -- they all sag after 25 years or so under stress.
A clutch gasket and new springs shouldn't set you back more than $20-$25, and will take maybe 20 minutes to replace.
Personally, I wouldn't bother with completely disassembling the clutch components and measuring stuff. Slap in new springs and see where that gets ya.
You didn't add anything to the oil, did you? Mouse milk oil additives will make the clutch slip.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Its a 750L
I do have an impact driver and used that to replace the stator. Its charging beautifully now thanks to electrosport and about 230 dollars. I forgot to order a new gasket for the alternator cover and just used some gasket sealer and there are no leaks!
The oil I am using is just some castrol gtx 10w-40.
I guess I will just order some new springs and see how it works. Although I will still require four more quarts of oil! I would measure plates but all I have are feeler gauges. Will those do the job? Don't know how thick those plates are, never been inside a motorcycle clutch before.

If you put the bike on the side stand when you pull the cover, you won't loose much oil.
You need calipers or a micrometer to measure the clutch plate thickness. Harbor Freight sells a nice quality digital caliper for less than $20. Good investment.Ed

What mileage is on it? They don't wear very quickly. Likely to be springs & cleaning up the steels with a pan scrubber (green type) wouldn't hurt either,
