Alright- my #1 plug wire separated from the coil- the copper wire itself isn't even peeking out from inside the coil- my other wires (#4 being worst) are pretty grim- what can I do? I got the Dyna wires from Z1, which don't seem to be the right thing- do I need a whole new wire/coil set? Thanks- Mark W.

By the way, the gas seems to have been the culprit- emptied the tank, poured in some sexy new 93 and a bit of Seafoam- a bunch of smoke later, holy heck! The bike's brand new again. But then, ignition misfire from #1 coming apart. What's next?! Oh well- one step at a time.

Also, for brakes, where can I get rotors (good ones) and pads? Thanks- Mark W.

The only thing I can find on there is from an '85 GS550L- will that fit my '79? Mark W.

If the coil wires, as secondary spark high tension leads, are removable, which they are on many coils: Auto parts stores usually carry bulk plug wire, stranded copper, and often high tech fancy stuff, MSD, ACCEL 9mm, etc. Can save a lot over other replacement options, and most bike shops and some auto parts stores sell spark plug end caps, but can probably reuse yours? Just make sure wire diameter is correct to fit the hole in the coil. Where they are removable plug wires screw in clockwise, unscrew CCW.

Mine are not removable- sadly, no such luck. The secondary (plug) wire is thoroughly attached into the coil. Thanks- Mark W.
