    Who ships parts to Australia?

A GS-er is looking to buy some intake boots for a 77 550. He's not getting any responses from the usual suspects, but locally they want about $180 for the boots. I'm sure we can do better than that. Who / which retailer do you prefer?

Flatout apparently doesn't want to answer my email.

I've always had the item sent to me and reboxed it and sent it US postal service. Their rate seems to be about the cheapest.

Yeah that looks good. But wrong size for my 550 and they don't ship outside the US. Keep looking for me.

Online is the go.Mumma Bear does all that techo stuff.Did you go onto their parts diagrams? They give you part numbers, availability and price.I downloaded a complete set for my 'S and they came in real handy for putting it all back together.Old mate Psyguy seems to think Z1(?) is pretty good as well.A bit of window(s) shopping might be the go.Cheers,Simon.\\/

Just jumped on and from a quick check of a few bits I've bought, Z1 seems to be cheaper.Wish I'd sussed this out before I did my bike up cause I could've saved a heap of cash.Suziparts (Adelaide) has most bits and they come in the Suzuki packets but they're verrrrry pricey.Live and learn I guess.Next one will seem like a abargain.Cheers,Simon.:-D

Hey Simon & Psyguy I checked out Z1 and they dont list any intake boots except for Kwakas. And I'm not sure if they can get all the Suzuki bits OEM as Alpha Sports and Flatout can. These people have acccess to all Suzuki bits that are still available. Does anyone know if Z1 are able to get the Suzuki OEM parts -- GS550B Intake Boots especially. I tried to contact Flatout as there boots were only $22 each, but no luck. Alpha Sports at $31 and my Suzuki dealer in Adelaide that can get me absolutely anything I want, but at a price is $45 each is more than I want to pay.

                          Cheers Don

                            positive!
                            nice people to deal with
send them an email listing what you need (provide oem part number to speed up the process)
it'll take a week for them to get the parts they don't stock themselves + the usual shipping time (this is the same for alphasports or bikebandit who sometimes list parts as available but STILL have to get them from the suzuki warehouse)
in your email to z1 also ask for the shipping quote for your particular order - might be even less than what you get as a web-quote! (it was in my case more than once :-D )

if you can be very organised and know for sure what you need than a one-off shipping price doesn't matter that much, but if you end up ordering more than once (and we all do :?) then stick with z1

i did a lot of reserch on this, and as you experienced yourself, some are not that good at getting back to you or confirming availability or prices they have listed on the web, and z1 was always onto it straight away

now, do i not sound like i was paid to promote z1

btw, my last order was like 6mths ago, so things might have changed since then, dunno really
