    Carby Fuel Pilot Screws

Can anyone tell me where I can get 2 x Pilot fuel screws and spring for vm29 on my 78 GS1000, I think carbs are off perhaps a 79 GS1000S, it has a choke cable setup. Tip of screw had broken off in carby, which I managed to get out. :-D But can't tune properly with broken screws. I am from Australia. Screw is 28.2mm long and 5.6mm wide at screw top. The one that screws in from under the carb.
    Thanks.

      Pilot Screw

Suzuki doesn't list this fuel pilot screw as a spare part

You could try contacting this ebay seller or buying them at auction (as part of a carb kit)

Can you show a pic of your carbs, or describe a few features?
And on the seventh day, after resting from all that he had done,God went for a ride on his GS!
Upon seeing that it was good, he went out again on his ZX14! But just a little bit faster!

Pilot fuel screws are the same for all VM carbs (as far as I know). The cheapest way to get the screws is to purchase the kit for a 750 linked here http://z1enterprises.com/detail.aspx?ID=487

I've got two of these fuel screws in my 550 carbs and they seem fine. Gaskets work also. Good luck.

Perhaps this information may help. I don't think you have VM29's on your bike. VM29's were smoothbore carbs with the choke lever on the left side of the carb rack. Yours has a choke cable set up which Suzuki used on the 1979 models. The US market GS1000's were equipped with VM26's (GS1000S VM28's) and the rest of the world market was equipped with VM28's which I suspect you have.

Since you stated this is the screw that comes in from below I think this is the Pilot Fuel Screw. Have a look at the link and confirm. I don't know if the VM26 & VM28 Pilot Fuel Screws are the same size but I would assume they are.

MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

You are right about Suzuki. You will have to cannabilize the screws from an set of existing carbs or see if one of the Rebuild Kits includes it.

My point was I don't think he has 29's. 29's don't have pilot fuel screws.
