right and or best spark plugs

i have a 82 650g,been working on some LEAN issues and was going to replace my crispy plugs.got any opinions as to the best plug for my bike??any help welcomed. thanks

I would think it's the NGK B8ES same as on my 1000.

Stock plugs are hard to beat. If you are willing to spend more on the most durable plugs available, look at some iridium plugs. I wouldn't use them until your bike is properly sorted out but if it's running proper like, and you want the best, the iridium plugs should last for tens of thousands of miles.

Aaaaaaaand so will the stock plugs. Have you ever actually worn one out? No one I know has, either.

NGK Iridiums work perfectly fine -- they're simply a waste of money on a GS. But hey, it's your money.

At least they're not complete junk like many "performance" plugs. Don't fall for the Splitfire or multiple electrodes hooey, or the plugs with holes in the electrodes, platinum, rhodium, etc.

Make sure you use antiseize on the spark plug threads.

NGK D8EA is the correct and right plug for gs650g. Have to agree with others, Ngk makes best plug for your machine. Have found in most instances, best plug is plug that factory installed.

I've worn out plenty of regular ND and NGK plugs; the electrodes get rounded off and worn. Takes quite a while though so no complaints with durability considering how much those plugs cost.

I have to say, although I always thought those splitfires were a gimmick, I have a snowmobile that i put some in just for the fun of it, and they actually made a difference! Not just some ho-hum difference, but It actually reved quicker. Ive never tried these in a 4 stroke and always just run ngk's, but I thought Id at least share that tid bit with you guys.
