Is it possible to reuse top cover carb gasket?

I have a 78 GS750B and managed to miss these top cover gaskets while ordering? All four were vacuumed (heard the vacuum pop) on and all four stayed on the top pieces squished (Evenly) but not broken at all. Money is tight but running bike is just as important. Do these have to be replaced? Or would it be a waste of time trying to reuse? Please give advice. Thanks,

You can reuse the gaskets no problem. Only time to worry is if they are torn.

I have never replaced these, ever.
They don't really do anything, there's no pressure, no liquid inside.

Life is too short to ride an L.

Thanks, I left the top gaskets alone. When reassembling I managed to get order reversed:-) So after more learning it is done (I think). It was very clean inside and the only problem spots I could find was my #4 drain needle clogged with bad bowl gasket.

On two of my carbs the Air Screws (The ones not suppose to messed with) were smashed on the bottom. Maybe an eigth of an inch or so. Is this going to interfere with functioning?

I get my shims, carb sync, and half moons today :-) So hope to atleast have some life today

There are two different adjustable screws on VM carbs: pilot fuel screws (on bottom) and pilot air screws (on the side). The fuel screws have very small tips that commonly get broken off in the carb body. If this is the case, you need to punch the broken tip back out, working backwards from inside the carb throat, and replace the fuel screws since they will not meter fuel properly with a blunt tip.
