If you can tell us what year and model we can likely corss reference the known jettings of Canadian VS. US models.
I know My bike has 105 mains as opposed to 102.5 for US but that is in a BSW30 Carb. All other bits are the same.
Pipes have an EPA rating on US bikes my originals did not but that doesnet mean they are not identical silencers. I cant tell any difference between them.
Oh and there are no ugly caps preventing adjustment to idle mixture either.
Some day Im gonna do a pictorial on the innerds of thes things.
I have the camera and 3 sets of carbs but Im cold sitting in a 45 cm snow storm.

Hi Mr. sabre1971,
I'd say go for it. The Canadian bikes did not have to be run so lean in order to pass U.S. emissions requirements.
Thank you for your indulgence,

All I can say is god bless the Canadians!!!
I have a rack of Canadian spec carbs (love E-bay) on my 83 1100E and man they work so much better.
maybe a bit on the fat side but I have a restrictive 82 airfilter in and a stock Bandit 1200 exhaust that makes goldwings sound loud.

so if one just got stock canadian jets like saber wants to do, they would, in essence, be canadian carbs, therefore running better than US? hmmmmmmmm......

Don't forget that the Canadian spec carbs also have adjustable needles stock as well. And yes, they do work very well with pods. It took me a couple of saturday afternoons to sort mine completely with nothing but Mikuni parts. It was way easier than the typical Dynojet moaning I hear from south of the border, and since I am not a mechanical genius (competent, but no genius), I will credit the carbs.
Calvin, I would be interested to see pics of the differences on our carbs.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!!!!!! I switched out the stock 45.0/180 US pilot jet combo and put in the 47.5/160 (Canadian stock set-up) 2 1/2 turns on the screw and it runs great. ran it w/o the choke after about 45-60 secs and she ran great with no sputtering and no adjusting the choke as I drove... F*&%ing beautiful\\/
