    Lowering my gs

    Hello, I am new to this forum And GS bikes altogether. Just bought an 83 750e that needs a little work. I am trying to achieve a certain look. I want to lower the rear about 2 or 3 inches. Was wondering if anyone new a good way to do so. What parts would I need? Any responses would be greatly appreciated.

    Search on Ebay for shocks. There was a seller selling some that measured 11" end to end, which is about 2 1/2 " shorter.

      Looks are nice, but please be aware than any lowering of either end of the bike will reduce the already limited cornering clearance on these bikes. :shock:

      Most people do not use all of the available clearance all the time, but it's nice to know that it's there when needed.

      Lowering the rear will also increase the angle of the forks which slows down the steering response a bit.

      Good luck with your "look", hope it doesn't give you problems you didn't anticipate. 8-[

      By the way, we want pictures when it's done. "Before and after" pictures are nice, too.

        That topic has been discussed alot here, if you go to the search tab,and search lowering you can research alot of info on this topic. Good Luck.:-D
