Anyone have an opinon on Maxxis tires?
Are they a good brand? Local guy deals them, and I am debating just supporting the local economy or getting a dunlop or something from a website.Tags: None

They are made by Cheng Shin and have a reasonable reputation. The value leader tire for GS bikes seems to be the Cheng Shin Hi-Max. The other Cheng Shin tires do not have as good a reputation though.
Good luck.Ed

I have a set of C6002'a on my 1100. Great tire for short money. They are an the soft side for rubber compound. so don't expect mega-mile longevity. Traction is awesome wet and dry.....

I have Maxxis Classics on mine and am very happy with them for grip. As for mileage, I don't put that many miles on, especially this year...
Also, put 6006s on my KLR650 when I had it, and they were a huge improvement over the Bridgestones there.
