    Front brakes- GS850GL

Any tips on getting the front seals to go back in on the caipler part. The piston side is no sweat- but I can't get it back into the groove on the caliper side.

clean with the brake fluid, then lubricate with the brake fluid?

What problem are you having exactly? Cleaned out the groove? The bottom edge is supposed to stick out slightly more than the top.

Well, basically the seals won't snap into the groove- like if I push it in in one spot, another will pop out. I just didn't know if there was a trick to it other than a screwdriver and patience.

Are you referring to the dust boot on which fits around the piston
or the seal which fits deeper into the caliper?

The latter shouldn't give you any trouble. A few drops of fluid to
lube it before you insert the piston is recommended.

          The dust boot is tricky.

What I've done is to put the dust boot over the piston while its
still out. Wiggle it until the lip that fits into the caliper extends
below the piston. That means the part of the boot which holds
the piston is not in place but is wrapped around the lower part
          of the piston.

Then with the boot on the piston I insert the lip into the
caliper's channel. I rotate the lip a bit to make sure its snug.

I then push the piston into the caliper.

The piston will only go in if everything is lined up.

Finally the dust seal will snap into the upper part of the piston.

Yes, the dust seal- I will give that a try. I was just hoping there was a " hey, this is easy" method- maybe even one that will let me avoid bleeding my brakes again!
