1.You blew it when you replaced the coils, then you reversed the couplings and tried again but the engine was flooded so it didn't start anyway.
2.Your crank trigger has loosened or defected.
3.Last but not least:Have you tried to replace the plugs? As weird it may sound but still true;I once witnessed on an idling car that all the plugs were killed simultaneously due to a short at the battery.(accident with the jumper cables.)Also bear in mind that bosch plugs are crap.

Got the bike fired over tonight\\/
had to blow out the gas from the cylinders and back out the idle set screw to "just touching", hit the prime for about ten seconds, set the choke at half and hit it.......it cranked for about five to ten seconds and as soon as I took the choke of that baby fired:-D
It felt better than a whole lot of other things, and so I threw open the garage door and went out for a spin......it is 40 degrees...and raining..but who cares, the bike runs! I think I will have to name her now! I know that I will have to sync and adjust air/fuel tweeks but man how cool is it when it starts:-D
I just want to thank all you guys who so diligently watch these posts and keep us novice GS mechanics from quietly going insane inside our sometimes very lonely garages!
I do still welcome any additional advice and I will continue to post with future "thoughts"
I will also get out and finally take some pictures of her now that her "clothes" are back on.
      Thanks again all:mrgreen:
