Are these wires stock?

I bought my gs850g used. Connected to the battery, on the ground (-) side there are 3 wires connected. There is the main ground wire but also, two other small wires that run from the battery to who knows where. Are these wires stock or is it some kind of mod the previous owner did?

Try to follow the wires. One popular mod is to run a ground wire direct from the rectifier/regulator to the battery.
The other wire is anybody's guess.

Maybe ,one to the battery,one to the negative rail of your fuse block and one to the engine.Or ,one to here,one to there and one to the other place.Cheers,Simon.:-D

if im not mistaken "basscliff" has a color wire diagram for your bike on his website
anyhow, yours is definitely not stock setup (may be better than stock though) :-D
