Airbox lid off? I hope not. Maybe an aftermarket K&N would help.

That is what my instructions said but that was if you were not using the Dyna stage 1 kit. The V & H generic instructions that came with mine listed a bunch of different bikes and most of the jetting instructions had you changing the mains, shimming the needles and taking the filter box lid off as I recall. Since you have the Stage 1 kit already installed I would go with what it says for the Dyna as a base point and dial it in from there. A K & N filter might also help. I have one in on mine with the stock airbox.
