    Dan - You can buy generic flashers at an auto parts store that will work just as well.

    However, I wouldn't give up just yet. The control box might be good but with a bad wire connection, or it might be repairable.

    I won't have time this weekend, but maybe tomorrow during the day I could drop by and help you diagnose it.

    In order to use the flashers without the control box you will need to make some jumper cables using the control box plug.

      I thought that's what I would need to do. Put jumper cables on to route the power & make sure the dash light is getting power etc.

      Figured I'd try a replacement flasher first with original control box. Maybe the one on my 80 will fit.

      The control box is full of epoxy, when you remove the cover all that is accessible are the wire soldering points & 1 resistor.... I can't be that lucky that it's that one resistor that's gone

      Let me know if you're around today, I should be able to sneak out....
