So far, my "educated guess" leads me to believe that a 20mm stud would work well and that anti-seize would probably be the right choice.

Intake stud size for '83 GS1100GL?
So, I'm going to try studs instead of bolts for the intake boots in my quest to get a set of GSXR-600 throttle bodies mounted on my 1100. I know the threads are M6-1.0, but has anyone switched to studs/nuts instead of the original phillips or other screws. How long were the studs you used? Did you use regular-size nuts or did you find some "thin" ones? Did you screw the studs in till they bottomed out? Did you use anti-seize or Loc-Tite?

Yeah, finding out the proper depth myself is my next option since it appears no one here has switched to studs on the intake side.I was hoping someone would have an idea.
