Coil wiring question
O.K. so I bought this pair of Katana coils to update my stockers. They are from a '05 and look great. Problem is the spade connectors look the same on each side of the coil and I don't know how to hook them up. I know I will have to make up a short harness to connect them as the stock wires will not match up. Does anyone know how I would determine how to do this? :? Thanks.Tags: None

I guess no body knows. I will try some experiments with my old coils and my voltmeter. Maybe I can come up with something that way. Thanks for looking anyway.:-D

Jeez, give the GSR Hive Mind more than an hour and a half, willya? Especially when the question isn't actually about a GS part. Most of us don't have the Bandit wiring diagrams memorized yet. :-D
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter which wire goes on which of the two connectors on a coil. At least that's the way most of them work that I know of, and there's no reason to suspect the Bandit coils are vastly different.
So the answer is at least a definite maybe.1983 GS850G, Cosmos Blue.

Actually I posted the question on 4/24. Had a lot of lookers. That would make sense about the wiring as there are no markings on the coils themselves. I will give it a try. After all whats the worst thing that can happen? (Famous last words).[-o<
