    Main jet sizes for '82 GS1100G

    Need ta sort out the carbs and don't know what's been done in the past. Can someone tell me the stock main jet and the stock air corrector jet sizes please. Also I'm assuming the valve clearances are the same as the smaller 8 valve engines: 0.03 - 0.08mm?

    Valve clearances are the same if it's the 8V. The main jets for the 8V 1100 are 115 Mikuni.

    I have a lot of jets from my messing incl a set of 115's......

      That's what're in it right now but it's running a bit lean. I'm using a motad 4 into 1 with the end resonant chamber chopped out and replaced with a perforated tube to give it a decent bit of sound so I'll probably go up to 120's and try from there. I picked up a genuine suzuki manual for it today for €10 so happy days.

        Quick question, do you know if anyone in the US sells Motad? I was looking at their site, and would love a set of the stainless 4-2 for either my 79gs1000 or my 82 gs110gl. I don't even know what a gs1100gl (shaft cruiserish model) would be called over there with the GSX etc.

          Not that I know of.... Be damn expensive to import as well (postage, weak dollar etc).

          Kent on here has a 1100G & he runs a 120 main. V&H pipe & K&N Inbox filter. On my G with that setup it seemed to need a little more, 125's. but then I'm at sea level.
