Any thoughts on exhaust systems 81 GS850G? New ... Used ... What fits etc...

Hi,
Looks like a few manufactrurs made pipes for this vintage Suzuki bikes.
Vance and Hines definitely had a huge presence during that era as they
were the leader in after-market pipes for Suzuki. I like Kerker myself
with the ease of maintenance, cosmetics, performance, lightness, and
access to the drain plug and retention of the center stand. I've had
both of these pipes.
I like Kerker very much. I'm not sure if they are still in business ??

Here ya go. :-D1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

Yep, too bad. Kerkers made the best pipes on Earth. I loved their engineering and quality fit. Those pipes were a true plug and play
meaning no rejetting, and access to the oil drain plug and retaining
your center stand. Very well designed with replacable mufflers for
the do-it-yourself fiberglass repacking.
I do not like Vanes and Hines, and consider them junk. The mufflers
are riveted, and cannnot rebuild/repack them. No oil access and
goodbye to your center stand.
4-1 aftermarket exhausts used to cost no more than $200 for a
complete Kerker system 25 years ago. Now they are outrageous
at $500-$600.
Today, some exhaust companies sell you just the muffler piece
for $600. This is outragous !!
