    Bad gas?

I was on a trip last weekend and got some fuel at a faming comunity in northern Alberta. Hines Creek. The gas storage tank was just a 2000 gal tank behink the single pump.

After I topped off I noticed some sudden intermittent power loss. Like, I was cruising contentedly when the power would cut out and cut in really quickly. It seemed to be worse after I stopped for a few minutes.

I'm thinking there might have been some water in the fuel. It stopped doing it now and I'm still on the same tank, although almost on reserve.

    What do you think?

I'm taking the GS on a 1400km trip next month and I'm kinda nervous. Maybe I'm just paranoid.

If it was an ethanol based fuel that had been sitting around a while Id dump the tank and start over with some fresh gas and a little sea foam. My $.02

Sounds like you got it.Run another tank through it and see how she goes.I always get a little bit fuzzy leading up to a big ride(sort of like a first date),but if you've given the bike a bit of loving attention you'll have a fat old time.Cheers,Simon.\\/

I would at least run a tank of higher octane in it. I had that issue once with my Seca, and ran a tank of 93 octane in it. It cleaned it up and made it happy.

Thanks Guys. It must've been the fuel. I filled up at a reputable station and haven't had a repeat.
