Has anyone ever used this product?

Hi, I am currently unseizing a seized engine due to being left outside for years. I am using acetone and Marvel Mystery oil in the spark plug holes on the seized side. I also filled up the crankcase with ATF. If it doesnt work, I am taking the head off and whacking it with a 2x4 - unless I hear some good things about the following product:

I'm always sceptical of new "wonder" products but for $20 it is worth a shot. Besides we need a guinea pig to test it don't we:-D Tag...you're it.

Let us know how it turns out....before you resort to the hunk o lumber.

    Cheers,
    Spyug.

What kind of engine are we talking about? That Honda flat four of yours? If so, gravity is working against you in terms of keeping the rings wet. I'd just stay the course with the MMO. Even if you get the piston to move, the cylinder is most likely going to be pitted, not to mention the rings.

      Good luck.

yep - its the flat four. The guys on the goldwing forum are telling me to use a 2x4 and they have had very good success this way.

the pistons on the right are the ones stuck (must have been on the side stand forever).

hmmmm....red pool of ATF on garage floor.

Clutch housing needs new gasket (or bolts need to be tightened).

Well, I found a way to see if there are any blown gaskets. At least I learned something new.

The 50/50 mixture of marvels and acetone is lower on the seized side. A little must have gotten through.

Acetone is very harsh stuff, might eat up the rubber seals on the engine. Stright MMO should be fine to unstick the rings, if the parts are salavageable that is.
