A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hi. I need to purchase a new camchain for my GS550B model. Bike Bandit have a good deal on a high performance cam chains for my bike ($40). What are peoples experience with delivery times. Do they post things out promptly. I don't want to wait a month to get the chain. I reckon best to replace it while I have the cases apart.
thanks heaps guys & gals.

Cant say what its going to be like going to Australia but delivery to me in the US was just a week.

Bike Bandit doesn't deliver the part. It's usually UPS, FEDEX or USPS. The first two will get it there between 3 and 5 business days from shipping date depending how far you are from Bike Bandit. The US postal service is unpredictable, but usually takes longer.

Go with flatoutmotorcycles.com and see if their prices are much cheaper.
You'll immediately see that you will save at least 20% of your money.

IF You are willing to wait that much or more longer AND pay more for shipping.

I've had pretty good luck with Flatout. I like their prices and delivery times. Not sure in your case, as every case is different and depending where you live.

If parts are needed in a hurry (never in a hurry - always have multiple bikes handy) just use your FedEx/UPS account for overnight delivery.
Use the 2-day for half the amount of overnite.

:-D \\:D/

I'm currently waiting on an order from flatout. Been over a week and a half now, and not even a delivery confirmation email from em. I'd go through Z1, Bandit, or Babbitts first.

Thanks Guys for your assistance. It will be hard to beat a high performance cam chain at 40 bucks. So I will give Bike Bandit a go via USPS to OZ.

An Update. I just checked Bike Bandit out again. Looks like they want to make the money up on postage. $80 for postage to Australia for cam chain. I had a cylinder block and pistons sent to Australia for less than that. Cheers.
