    Clicks after startup, coming from...?

Started up this morning with the throttle open slightly, and heard 2 distinct clicks after the bike started, 1-2 seconds apart. Sounded like coming from the coils area (?), or somewhere up front. I've heard similar after startup, but I don't think usually quite so distinct, or twice in a row. Anyone have any ideas? It's an '83 850L with no mods. - Mike

Ok, that's reassuring, I think. You're not pulling my leg are you? Sometimes I don't notice it (?).

No, I'm not kidding. Suck on the vacuum line to the petcock and see if that's the same sound you're hearing.

Funny, I was messing around in the garage a few minutes ago, and the thing made the same sound just sitting there. It's been cooling off from today's ride for several hours now. Thanks for the replies. - Mike
