Seal Mate
Anyone heard of this or any knowledge of whether it actually does renew old fork seals? I did hear that a number of vintage bike owners had some success.

From the articles, it looks like it just removes the dirt behind the seal and doesn't actually do anything to the seal. I would guess that if the leak is due to the dirt it would fix it but if it is due to a worn seal it wouldn't help much.

Fork seals are cheap so if yours are old I'd just replace them. As for the seal mate you can make yourself one with a thin piece of rigid plastic cut to a similar shape.

I thought a seal mate would be a female seal and probably just as useful for fixing leaking forks.Cheers,Simon.:-Dhttp://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...esMapSimon.jpg
