Poorly stored Tempter with Oil Light on

I have what had been a poorly stored 1983 Tempter 650 that I have brought back to life. It sat for 5 years with some gas and all the oil in it. I did an oil change on it and cleaned the carb and it starts and runs. However, the Oil light is on, and from what I have read, this is a concerning point.

Should I try to pull the sensor and see if that is mucky? Am I looking at a whole seal job and all of that, or might this be something siimple? I have not dug into my Clymer book on this one yet, but am asking for some intial guidance as to if this is worth working on or just call the bike a loss.

You can unscrew the oil pressure sensor and have a look at it. Also check the wire going to it for a short.

I should buy a lottery ticket

... because I spent about 1/2 hour looking around on the bike for the spot that My Clymer book showed for the oil sensor and finally gave up. I had just finished a repair on the fuel sensor and had cleaned all of the contacts that were in the headlight where all of the wire harness seems to terminate and thought I'd turn on the bike and see if the guage worked OK. And, it did, (Which was good news) and then I decided to see if anything else changed.

I turned the ignition over and fired up the bike, and low and behold, the oil light went off. I still haven't found the sensor, I'd like to pull it and clean it just to be safe.

Just leave it or ? replace the sensor.
