    Seat Upholstery.

Hey, I have a 83, gs1100 gl and I have shaved down the seat to be a bit more slim. I need to find a reasonable place to get it reupholstered, any suggestions? I was it to look sleek and somewhat modern. I'm just having a hard time finding a place worth going to, so if someone could give me a hint as to where would be a good reliable place to go I would very much appreciate it.

Ask Jethro. He had a seat done and it looked GREAT!

I don't know where you are but there is a guy here in CT (He is in Moodus) who does custom seat covers & retooling. I was gonna have him redo mine and cover it with brown leather for $200 but decided to just get a cover for now (Which I hate and wish I had coughed up the $200!)

I'd say first to scour your local area (yellow pages, internet search) for guys who do auto, boat, airplane upholstery work and ask if they will do a bike seat/give you an estimate. I found a guy here in Nashville with a shade tree shop behind his house. He mostly does airplane seats, but agreed to do my seat for 50 bucks and did and awesome job. There are other options, but it's worth looking.
