More Love/Hate with my 650G....GRR (vent!)

Sorry but need to vent. Went to ride bike to work this morning....get all geared up, tank bag loaded and secure...turn key, push start...."click".....she no starty.....

This after having just pulled and cleaned starter, reassembled and she fired right up. Nothing so frustrating!!!!

Checked the obvious things, now need to chase power to the starter again but suspect that something bunged up and I've got to pull carbs, remove starter all over again.

    MFing bassssssturd!!!!!

Did you hear a "click" from the solenoid? If not run a ground to the solenoid mounting bolt and then directly to the negative post on the battery.

The last thing I messed with...

was one of the front turn signals. The nut was just hand tight so I tightened it up. It seems there's 1 wire that routes thru the post, the other appeared to be held by the nut???

So when I tightened it up, I tried to keep that wire in between the nut and the turn-signal post. I suspect its not making contact properly. The signal still works, but when I complete detached that wire, the bike wouldn't crank and the signal just stayed on, wouldn't blink.

Will start there after the kids get to bed.....and another beer!!!!

      :0)

        Stumped...

Not sure how the turn signal is supposed to be wired. I unscrewed the whole thing and one wire runs thru the post to the light, the other seems to have been wrapped around the threads and held in place by the nut.....

As for the starter problem I guess I just have to take the whole thing apart again. Any suggestions?
