If a picture is worth a thousand words ...

This is Wolfie's Wife. Just thought I'd share Thanks for all the help! Thought you guys might enjoy the pics.

eta: He was just riding him down to his friend's house, in our subdivision, 2 blocks away. We ride with helmets

Nice looking bike but please don't put your kids life at risk riding around without a helmet. If you die fine (not really), but please protect the young-uns.

I will go back and edit the original post. He told me someone would point that out. He was just riding him down to his friend's house, in our subdivision, 2 blocks away. We ride with helmets, but thanks for the concern

Yep, the bike looks good. The young lad looks like he's got a big ol' smile on his face. I also encourage helmet use, but I won't scold you. I just moved my bike from the back parking lot to the front parking lot without a helmet.

Thanks for the pictures Mrs. wolfman.

          Thank you for your indulgence,

          BassCliff

you know that saying like 98% of auto accidents happen within 5 miles of the home.....

well it seems that 98% of motorcycle accidents happen within 5 feet of the driveway...

most of the time its when people are doing short cruises or even just "around the block"

thats all ill say... were all adults here

SWEET! Got one just like it--in 247 pieces. Hope to have it together soon; with all of the knowledge and goodwill of the fine GSR forums, sooner rather than later.

I'm sure you have dealt with alot more of the problems than we have. Ours was "running" when we got it, but had quite a few electrical gremlins. We still have to replace the starter relay, the front brake switch, the left handle switch, replace the oil pressure lead, find a left side cover, fix the oil leak at the oil filter cover, along with change the oil, replace the o-ring at the shifter, figure out why the gas guage isn't working right, do all the normal maintenance stuff (carbs, airbox, valves, etc), plus get everything cleaned and polished. We were just happy to be able to get it on the road today, even though we had to start it with a screwdriver!
