    Motor Removal problems. please help

So I have an 83 GS1100 GL and I removed all that I needed to that was attached to my motor that my Clymer manuel said. The only thing still in there is the motorand transmission pretty much. I detached the shaft drive and I was trying to remove the motor with a couple friends and it just wouldnt come out. It kept either getting caught on top or else on the bottom back brackets. I dont know if there is a trick I am totally missing or what. If someone could give me some tips it would be very much appreciated. i am trying to avoid having to buy and replace any gaskets. Please let me know

    Hi
I had to remove the triangular brackets and removed the breather cap

You have to remove the rectangular breather cover that is on top of the valve cover. If it is still too tight a fit, you can remove the valve cover also. I assume you have already removed the carb rack and airbox and intake boots.

does the breather box require a seal? or is no?

the airbox for the carbs use rubber seals.... you wont have to replace them if they are in good shape....

the breather on top of your valve cover has a seal in it, if you take it apart carefully, you will be able to re-use it
