exhaust
someone please give me their opinion. performance wise, is it better to go with a 4 to 1 exhaust, or back to the original 4 to 2, on the 1100 GL?Tags: None

thats the next question, the 4-1 exhaust will come off of the 750. and from what i was told, the jets on the 750 were already re jetted to stage 1. what would i need to put in it for the 1100.

i think you are best of finding a set of carbs for the 1100
you MAY be able to use 750 carbs (if the intake/outlet dia is the same) but you would have to change ALL the jets, possibly the needles and seats, too
you can compare the data for these carbs in the sticky thread up top the tech sectionGS850GT

The answers is yes.
I'd stick to the 1100 carbs (if you have then already fitted) and get a jet kit to suit them. You could be cheeky and see what setting the 750 was on though.
Just be carefull that the 750 exhaust will fit the 1100 chassis.

The 1150 will try to flow just over 150% of what the 750 will flow. Not sure if the carbs are capable of flowing that much air, and trying to jet for that would be a nightmare.
I agree that it would be far better to start with carbs for an 1150 and go with known settings to jet them.
