    AllBalls Fork Seals

Picked up a set of fork seals for my GS550E and they're made by All Balls. http://www.goallballs.com/ The seals have no indications which way they install. Normally fork seals have the text on the seal facing upwards but not All Balls !! Which side is up or down?

I believe fork seals are excluders, which means the lip goes up, or out from the oil. If there is only one lip, that is.

In this pic I would say the Red ones are upside down & the black are right way up... those little "digs" normally go on the top & the spring is normally hidden from view.
Fork seals normally look 100% solid from the top.

i was confused at first as well, but you'll notice that you can 'snap' the seal over the inner bearing race on the bottom. The bottom seal curves 'up', whereas the upper seal curves 'down'
