    Gasket advice

    Hello everybody
I am replacing my cylinder head cover gasket and my generator/stator side cover gasket.
My question for the GS Gurus is this: do you guys recommend using a little permatex to tack em' up first or just putting them on "dry"?
    Thanks!

Just smear them with a bit of grease or vaseline, that way you won't risk getting any sealant bits wandering around your motor, they'll 'stick' in position as you reassemble and you'll find they are easier to remove if you have to pull the bits apart again.
