    Would a 82GS1100E engine fit on a 84GS750E

They are basically the same bike, but does anyone knows if there is enough space for the 1100 engine to fit into the 750 frame ?

From what I've read no, at least not a plug and play, no major modification swap.
You Canadians were lucky enough to get that bike in '84...we got nothing that year!

Both of the bikes run? You can mod up the 750 and have a pretty quick bike. without all the weight.

As I understand it, from previous posts. It will fit, tight. big problem is that the tank will have to be raised 1" ??? in the rear. Don't take this a gospel I could be wrong

Your bike is way easier to get a GSXR motor into than a big GS. Ray.

Thing is I just bought the 1100 for 200$ but the guy doesn't have the title anymore... the 1100 engine was re-builded 4 years ago, cylinders, pistons and valves and as not run much after. Raising the tank is fairly easy.

I'd persue getting the title for the 1100. No idea how it works in Canada but if the person you bought it from was in fact the last legal owner, getting a title should not be insurmountable. A factory 1100 is alwas going to be worth more than a 7-11 IMO

I don't know how Quebec differs, but in Alberta all you need to get registration is a bill of sale and proof of insurance. No titles involved. If the bike is out of the registration system from being off the road for too long I believe it also requires a safety inspection to ensure all lights, brakes, tires, etc. are in working order. Not a big deal at all.
