How to clean CV carb slides and diaphram

I am getting ready to re-assemble my carbs and the last thing I need to do is to clean the slides. Should I jsut use carb cleaner on them be careful to not get much on the diaphram?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm spending my day off trying to finish up most of the things I am working on.

Do NOT use carb cleaner on rubber! It will deteriorate the rubber. Use Brakleen! Ray.

Spray it on a clean rag and wipe the slide. Keep it away from the diaphragm.
