    82 650G Rear Shocks

I'm looking to replace my rear shocks, but I don't want anything too fancy. Its used mostly for a commuter ride, so I favor comfort over performance. Any reccomendations for both the shocks and the supplier?

    Thanks!

Progressive Suspension is the defacto standard in aftermarket replacement shocks. Z1 Enterprises sells them, and has good service, but they are not cheapest. MAWonline.com has good prices on Progressive parts but poor service. Not sure who's in between these two.

Progressive Suspension 412 series is the aftermarket standard for these bikes (IMO) as Nessism alluded to. Probably somewhere between $80 to $100 each.

        Hi Mr. bradbenz,

Cycle-Re-Cycle II carries a shock, imported by Emgo, that seems decent for the price, as long as you're not looking for performance shocks.

I hear they are pretty stiff so you may want to set them for their softest setting.

        Thank you for your indulgence,

Emgo shocks are junk, I have a pair, Springs too heavy & cheap a$$ plastic mounting bushings
I would not recomend them. Better off with a used stock set from Ebay

I think any new aftermarket shock will give you more comfort and perfromance than the old stockers. That being said, one day I hope to have a set of nice Hagons.
