    Float loose for fuel gauge

The black plastic square seems loose (it can spin) on the rod that sits inside the gas tank. Is there any safe way to secure it? Epoxy? Lock washer? Something?

If it spins don't worry as long as it doesn't come off!!

      Hi,
I did mine with a zip tie, but light copper wire might work too.

      Cheers,
      Lyle

          Yes Mike

I haven't mounted it yet because I was afraid it would get loose and be a problem.

I had to add a float to my sending unit that I got from a very similar style sending unit at the junk heap (my float was MIA when I bought the bike). I used jb weld to secure it into place. 2.5 years later and I took the wand out to coat the tank. Looks as good as the day I mixed it together and put it on the float.

Sorry man. It was definitely good when I sent it to you. Must've gotten knocked around some in transit.
