Inexpensive Rectifer?
Can anyone recommend an inexpensive rectifier for my 1979 GS1000? I think Electrex is $85 and I have read that other members have used rectifiers from more modern bikes, but I wouldn't know what to use and if they are any cheaper.Tags: None

Lots of people happy with Duanage's R/R's. He provides an excellent service to the community here.
R/R’s are pretty much universal so almost any one will work if you wire it properly. I’ve got a CRB R/R on my 850 and it works fine – bought it off ebay. Just get the wiring diagram from the bike the R/R came off of and duplicate that wiring when installing the R/R on your GS.
Hope this helps.Ed
