    will the parts fit

    i have a gs650g 1981 my buddy has an 82 gs550 would alot of parts from his bike fit onto mine

    In short, no.

    You will have a few parts that may interchange, turn signals, horn, but nothing major. No to tank, brakes, seats, rims, etc. Sorry for bad news.

      Beside the parts already mentioned, your tires can use the same air.

        Hi,

        I would also think the handlebars, the mirrors, the valve cover end caps, maybe the gear shift lever. The r/r, maybe. The stator, probably not. What parts are you considering? The best way to tell what might fit is to compare part numbers from an online parts fiche. I think I like the parts fiche at alpha-sports.com the best.

          Front Forks if they are 35mm will fit. Probably the triple tree as well although the handle bar mounts are a little different.
