    Boot O-Ring Question

How do I know what type of carbs I have? I am going to buy some new boot o-rings but am unsure as to what type I need. I have a GS850GN (79 model).

Thanks again for all the help. As you can tell, I am new to all of this.

    Hi Mr. jrazz,

You have the Mikuni VM26SS carbs. Please visit my website and download the manual for your bike. There's also lots of other goodies for 850G lovin'. Help yourself.

    Thank you for your indulgence,

    BassCliff

As long as nobody's messed with your bike you should have VMs. Check out the carb rebuild doc - should be your carbs (or look like it):

      www.thegsresources.com/files/vm_carb_rebuild.pdf
      79 GS1000S
      79 GS1000S (another one)
      80 GSX750
      80 GS550
      80 CB650 cafe racer
75 PC50 - the one with OHV and pedals...
75 TS100 - being ridden (suicidally) by my father

I just wanted to say thanks again and to plug cycleorings.com I will definitely be going back there to do business again when the need arises. He was courteous and actually saved me money by looking out for my best interest and not his bottom dollar (I guess he did look out for that, as he just won himself a repeat customer).

So, if you are needing o-rings www.cycleorings.com is the place to go.
