    I used the angled banjos at the splitter on my bike which come to think if it, you won't have if you run two full length lines. Not sure what's best but I used straight banjos at the calipers and master. I think angled fittings at the master wouldn't be a bad idea but it's no huge deal either way.

    There is one long double banjo bolt on your splitter. You can reuse it but it's not the prettiest bolt around. Hikermikem seems to have the thread pitch question covered, I'm not sure either way. And don't forget about new crush washers.

      Ed I don't have a splitter. I only have a single disc on my 550, but am doing the twin disc conversion as well as CBR discs (so much lighter) and twin piston calipers. So I still need the longer bolt, think I will remove the MC bolt to make sure before I order a new one from Earl's.

        I just rang Earl's here in Sydney, OZ, and the Speed-Flex -3 SS brake line is $40 a metre which works out at $10.50 a foot compared to Earl's in the U.S. which has it for $3 a foot. A bit steep in my book.

          Z1 sells Goodrich hose. Might be cheaper to order from the states.

              They have threaded ends installed so you just bolt on your banjos. Pretty good word of mouth on these from people I respect like Salty_Monk.

                I just bought some goodridge precut brake lines, they are really good. They come with separate banjo fittings that just screw in, so you can pick whatever angles you want.
                The big bonus for me was that the banjo fittings were stainless, rather than chrome, and that the lines are covered in clear plastic.

                They come in packs pre-cut to various lengths here in the UK.

                  Why do the OEM brake lines have a "rusted old" loose spring wrapped around them?
                  What purpose does that serve; do aftermarket lines need the spring?
