If I'm ordering new airbox boots from bikebandit, is there a difference between the boots for an 850 L and a 1000 L? Are the 1000's larger end diameter but otherwise the same, or completely the same, or completely different airbox/boots setup vs the 850's?

gs850/1000 airbox boots question
Hi - I have an '80 850gl, with carbs from an '80 gs1000. I have an airbox but only two of the carb boots.

The 1980 GS850 has 32mm BS/CV Mikuni carbs, but I think the 1000’s have 34mm carbs in which case they won’t fit on your bike. Hopefully someone will chime in here and confirm.Ed

Nessism is correct. Per my owners manuals for the 81 1000 it has the 34mm and for the 82 850 has the 32mm. I would not think they put different CV sizes on different years but I do not know that for sure.82 GS850L - The Original http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/d...ePics067-1.jpg
