    82 GS850GL Cylinder Head

    Will a 80 GS850GL cylinder head mate with my early 82 GS850GL?

    As long as your "early '82" head is the 16-bolt model, yes, it will.

    If your head is the newer 19-bolt model, you will need the valve cover that goes with it.

      Yeah I got a 16 bolt...guy wants like $40.00 for it + shipping. As some of my cam cover bolts are stripped thought I'd give it a shot as they have been helicoiled and I dont think I can machine them out and put timeserts in.

        Yup, it'll work just fine.

        Make sure you get the cams, buckets, valvegear, etc. too.
