Pilot jet replacement
Has anyone ever replaced their pilot jets with the new style(emulsification holes)? If so how far did you have to jet down from stock? Do you recommend this or stay stock and use the plugs.

Change them to the same size as stock. I can't even find the stock ones anymore.1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

Anyone else try this? I'll probably just order the parts and put it back to stock....I know...I know that's always the best route. I would just love it if someone could chime in on this that has been down this road....i can't be the only one LOL

One of my old ones was almost stripped out so i went to the bike shop and got new ones but they were the new style(holes in the side). The reason i wouldn't mind staying with the newer style pilot jet is they are available right off the shelf. The old style(no side holes) I'd have to order...which is fine...but for convenience sake off the shelf is preferred.
