    Dyna Coil Install

Ok, with the weather generally crapping out right on cue, I figure it's time to install the Dyna coils and Dyna S ignition. Does anyone have any quick and dirty drawings to mount up the Dyna coils under the tank, or am I incorrect in assuming that they won't simply mount up like the old coils without any drama and fiddling?

Assemble the stock screws, spacers, & nuts onto the Dyna coils just like they were on your stock coils & put them on the bike in the stock location. You may have to slot the bolt holes in the frame a little if they don't land perfectly but they should be close. Ray.

I found on my bike to get the coils to clear the stock mounting tabs so I could get the plug caps on I had to do a little adjustment. What worked for me was to leave the rear as stock on the front I had to remove 1 of the nuts. The way it worked was to just put on the spacer and no nut under the spacer so it sat on the tab and then a nut under the tab. This way the coil was on a down angle and the front cap would now fit. Hope this helps, Good luck.

        On the Dyna S
Find output from the igniter. There are O/W, Y/B and white wires. Cut these off the end plug that goes up into the harness.
Connect the red wire to the O/W. (This is the hot wire for the ignition) The White wire is the left coil (2&3) and the Y/B wire (1&4) is the right. Connect the Dyna black wire to the white wire and the Dyna white to the Y/B.
I used spade connectors withe dielectric grease.
