    anyone try these slip ons

    http://http://www.jcwhitney.com/DUNS...4658_10111.jcw

Anyone try these slip ons from JC Whitney, the reviews on the web site make it seem like a good preoduct. I want to upgrade to a longer exhaust such as the chain driven GS models in order to achieve the old cafe racer look similar to that of the Nortons, etc...... I have also considered a 4-1 but not sure if I wnat to go that route because every other bike I see has the V-H 4-1 header......

Are they crap? If so who makes a good 4-2 system?

first of all, you have 2 "https" in your link. edit it. i used a set of these on a triumph years ago. they were ok, a little choked, quiet. but fitting them to a suzuki (no idea what model you're talking about) may prove a daunting task with some cutting involved. the end product won't look much different than a gs e model.

The bike I own is a 1980 GS1000GL and was wanting the exhaust to extend to the back of the wheel. Has anyone tried these? Seems like a decent muffler?

I didn't know they had a removable baffle
I remember reading either here or on the honda site that the chrome was not so great, but for $50 what do you want

It seems to cheap to be good...I wonder how close they will fit the factory exhaust location? It seems it would be simple to weld a small bracket hidden on the frame.

I have heard the chrome on the V-H 4-1 header is cheap as well.
