    82 gs850 16" mag rim

I have an 82 gs850 with a 16" rear mag rim. I thought it was supposed to be a 17"? Does this really matter?

The G models have 17" wheels, the L models have 16" wheels.

thank you!! there is not enough room to write the confusion I had last night ordering tires. You probly wouldn't even want to read all of it. Long story short I was going to order a 130/90-17 but for what ever reason ordered a 16 called up bike bandit they're ready to give me free shipping upon return. Went and looked at my bike and it said 16. Guess the one coming will work. Really just going to bed and ordering in the morning probly would have helped.

To further compound the confusion, you can put a 16" GL wheel on a G and vice-versa.

Application charts are often (usually) wrong or incomplete, so there's no substitute for heading out to the garage and taking a look. It's very common for various charts to confuse or blend the G and GL models.
