    '85 & '86 1150 carbs interchangeable?

Are the carbs from the '85 and '86 1150's the same? Looking to order an o-ring kit from Robert Barr.

Very few differences in any of the 1150's. Carb jets may differ, but the carbs should be the same. Robert should know for sure.

      "O" rings are the same.

          No vent T o-rings needed.
Did you get the idle mixture screw out?

Nope. Two and three are stuck solid. One is being a bitch. I'm cutting the necks off of the "tubes" where they screw in, and cutting new slots in the heads and heating up the bodies. Hopefully, that'll do it.

...or find a machinest in your area to get the screws out.

I'm not either but it's a reasonable option compared to hacking on the carb bodies. A good machinist has real skills and they earn their money.

Where would one find a machinist? How much would it cost?

That's how I get them out. If you cut straight it doesn't looked hacked. Plus it works and you can reuse the screws.
