    Looking for debugging advice

    All:

I've been really enjoying my GS250 since I rebuilt the stator thanks to this community.

I'm seeing another issue that concerns me.

I was riding on Hwy 50 from Annapolis to DC; I'd been going about 30 minutes at 75% - 90% full throttle (it IS a 250) and started losing power. The engine didn't stall out; rolling off the throttle kept the engine running, but full throttle didn't add any power. I moved over to the shoulder, and in ~30 seconds, I was getting full power when requested again. Cycling to "prime" didn't seem to make any difference. In a few minutes, this happened again. This cycle lasted for the rest of the ride, until I got on local roads.

Weather was cool, oil level was good, fuel level was good.

I haven't had the bike on the freeway since, but local travel is normal.

Any other ideas? Would a dose of Seafoam hurt?

Or, you have a coil that is going bad. Sometimes a coil will work until it gets really hot. I am not sure why.

A, check max fuel flow from the petcock as mentioned above.

          1) Make sure you're not pulling a vacuum in the tank

          2) Make sure you have atleast over 1/2 tank when your doing your testing as you said fuel level was good

          3) I've heard of the over-fill tubes pulling a vacuum disturbing the carbs while riding down the highway

          4) Try adding a bit of choke to see if she comes back alive

          5) When she goes the suspected lean, do a plug chop to verify.

Just some random thoughts, hope it helps.
