    How many hours is a head gasket on n 82 1100?

    I can do it in three but I've done it a few times.
    Five or more for a first timer.
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

      That kinda what I was figuring. I was hoping I would get a response from the book tho. Wondering what to charge someone.

        Charge by the hour if it isn't a best bud. If money is a concern, put a cap up to a certain time... 20 an hour up to five hours or something. You could just do a by the job price too, it's all part of learning to bid on side jobs, sometimes you end up making 100 an hour, sometimes it feel like your working for minimum wage.

          Yeah its not a bud or anything. Just looking to add some side work to the garage at home. 5 hours seems fair enough at a half rate. Thanks for the replies.
